Verona, following Romeo and Juliet

What is true love? This question has been asked for ages around the world.

One of the most famous examples of love is the story of Romeo and Juliet, two star crossed lovers who’s deaths eventually reconciled the feud between the Capulet’s and the Montague’s.

We had the opportunity to travel to the location of this famous story in Verona where we were able to see the balcony that the famous words “O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?” were spoken.

We were also able to see the statue of Juliet. Legend states that if you touch the right breast of Juliet you will be given good fortune, and luck in love for the rest of your life. For this reason an estimated 2 million tourists make the trip to this picturesque location to get a glimpse of this fairytale, and to touch the breast. You can see where the statue is frequently touched because of the fading of the statues color.
